Rubber Duckie Themed Baby Shower

Heather's Baby Shower was a hit! A couple of my girl friends and I hosted a baby shower for our good friend Heather last weekend at a private clubhouse in Kaanapali. The views were amazing, decor was fabulous and the food was out of this world! Rubber Duckies were the theme (thanks to Beth Goldsmith- her awesome idea). Everything Rubber Duckie from the ducks in the wine glasses (floating in pink lemonade, of course) to duck bath confetti and little duckies in cylinders with floating glass bubbles! How cute! The food was out of this world good, of course, thanks to Cater 2 U (Mark Shrimer and Kitty Cross are so so so good). We dined on: Fruit & Cheese Display (featuring fresh breads, crackers & condiments), Papaya & Avocado Summer Rolls w/Citrus Sake Soy Sauce, Yogurt/Fruit/Nut Parfait Served in Martini Glasses, Individual Spinach & Pancetta Quiche w/Hollandaise Sauce, Kula Greens w/Roma Tomatoes & Papaya Seed Dressing and Truffle Infused Mac & Cheese (Heather's #1 craving). Beth made yummy vanilla cupcakes with a buttercream frosting to satisfy Heather's sweet tooth! Yum!
Kudos: Beth Goldsmith (photographs), Beth Goldsmith & Christin Bourland (other hostesses), "Baby Girl" Laser Cupcake Holders and Rubber Duckie Cupcake Toppers (www.shopbakersnook.com), Rubber Duckie & Rain Drop Bath Confetti (www.goplanetearth.com)

Heather's Baby Shower!

So here is one of the latest things I am working on with some of my girl friends :) Christin, Leila, Beth and I are hosting a baby shower for our dear friend Heather.... and can you guess what the theme is? Beth came up with the cutest theme- rubber duckies! Think modern, sassy, fun, girly. From the invite to the favors- everything has been thought of! Guests will receive pink boxes with a rubber duckie inside inviting them to "waddle on over" for Heather's shower. The decor will be in the pinks/oranges/yellows with rubber duckies, of course, clear glass bubbles, crystal garland, pink & orange makara orchids, topped off with a pink & orange paper lantern chandelier! Heather has been craving "kid food" so there will be everything kid-friendly- think gourmet mac & cheese etc. Drinks- of course, pink punch served in a bowl with floating glass bubbles & rubber duckies! Favors- duckie bubble bath confetti in velum envelopes with pink labels & ribbon. I can't wait to post the party pics!
